Science
Nationwide attention is being called to the shortage of qualified
science and mathematics teachers in our nations high schools.
Carlow graduates
in science and mathematics who earn a secondary education certification
are highly regarded among local school district principals and administrators.
In addition to the requirements below,
all students desiring secondary education certification must
meet the requirements for secondary education certification
as outlined by the School of Education.
Certification in Secondary Education in Biology and General Science
Students must satisfy all requirements of the
B.S. degree in biology. The biology electives will be chosen
in consultation with a faculty advisor to represent all three
concentration
