Michele Upvall, R.N., Ph.D., F.N.P.
Michele Upvall is a professor and the associate dean and director of the School of Nursing. She completed her doctoral degree in transcultural nursing at the University of Utah. She is a family nurse practitioner with experience in the Navajo Nation, as well as throughout Africa and southeast Asia.

Mary Louise Bost, R.N., B.S.N., M.P.H., Dr.P.H.
is a professor in who specializes in community health. She completed her B.S.N. at Duquesne University and her doctoral work at the University of Pittsburgh.

Carol L. Caliendo, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., N.D.
Carol L. Caliendois a professor whose clinical specialties are maternal/newborn and women’s health care. Currently, she is serving as the Dean of the College of Professional Studies. She obtained her M.S.N. at the University of Illinois, and completed her doctorate in nursing at Case Western Reserve University. Her primary research interest is the health effect of body art, particularly intimate body piercing. Dr. Caliendo has published numerous nursing research articles on that subject.

Anne Marie Emanuel, R.N., M.S.N., M.N.Ed.
Anne Marie Emanuelis an assistant professor and director of Carlow’s R.N. to B.S.N. program. She specializes in nursing management and completed her M.S.N. at the Medical College of Georgia and her M.A. at George Washington University.

Marian Fedakis an assistant professor and specializes in oncology. She received her M.N.Ed. from the University of Pittsburgh and has completed a post masters gerontological advanced practice program.

Catherine Grant, M.S.N., C.R.N.P.
Catherine Grantis an assistant professor and serves as an active family nurse practitioner in primary care at a rural health center. She obtained her B.S.N. at Pennsylvania State University and her M.S.N. from the University of Pittsburgh, and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Clare M. Hopkinsis a professor with a specialty in psychology and mental health nursing. She completed her B.S.N. at the University of Michigan, her M.S.N. at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and her M.A. and Ph.D. at Duquesne University. Her research interests include the effects of spirituality on health.

Diana Paladinois an assistant professor and director of Carlow's B.S.N. program. She obtained her B.S.N. from LaRoche College and her M.S.N. from Duquesne University. Her area of specialization is medical-surgical nursing.

Kathleen Patterson, Ph.D, APRN-BC
Kathleen Patterson is an assistant professor of nursing with a specialty in mental health nursing. She received her BSN from Villanova, MSN from the University of Pennsylvania and PhD from University of Pittsburgh. She presently serves as the Chair of the Graduate program. She is a consultant with Deerfield Behavioral Health in Warren and Erie.
